Testimonial

"If world class elk is your dream, then Impact Trophy Hunts is the outfitter for you. I have hunted elk six times with Richie. Each hunt was high quality and resulted in a total of five bull elk. His guides are top notch, they know the country and have the ability to get you close. The camp and the atmosphere is excellent. I wouldn’t hunt anywhere else."

Elk

Our elk hunts take place in trophy producing areas through out Arizona and in the famous Gila National Forest in New Mexico. These tags are very coveted with great genetics and limited tags. This allows these bulls to age and grow trophy class antlers that are world renown. The units that we hunt are some of the top public land producing areas in North America. Where we have consistently produced top scoring trophy bulls.

Arizona and New Mexico elk tags are allocated on a draw basis. New Mexico does have guaranteed private landowner tags which enable you to hunt on public land. We can obtain Archery, Muzzleloader, and Rifle elk tags for the state of New Mexico, if not successful in the draw. These landowner tags can be purchased for an additional cost. We accommodate two on one and one on one hunter to guide ratio.

MUZZLELOADER ARIZONA

Arizona offers two different seven day Muzzleloader seasons for elk hunting. The first starts at the beginning of October during the rut where you can chase and see several bulls still active in their rutting environment. This is a great action packed hunt, where our methods of hunting are spot and stalk, calling and chasing bugling bulls. The second hunt takes place in the middle of November. The area has a large number of elk. This is a spot and stalk hunt where our methods are glassing extensively from vantage points.

MUZZLELOADER NEW MEXICO

New Mexico offers three Muzzleloader seasons for elk hunting. These are all five day hunts in the Gila National Forest in primitive hunting units only. They offer two hunts in the middle to late October where some rutting activity can still be present. Our methods of hunting are spot and stalk, calling, chasing bugling bulls and stands over water. The third hunt takes place in late November. This hunt has consistently produced our largest Muzzleloader bulls. At this time bulls are in their winter range and are in small bachelor groups. This is a spot and stalk hunt where lots of glassing is the key to success. With today’s modern muzzleloaders, hunters are consistently taking bulls out to 200 yards. We can obtain muzzleloader guaranteed landowner tags to hunt on public land for any of these three hunts if you are not successful in the draw, for an additional cost.
